John Heard, who is best known for playing the dad in the Home Alone movies, is found dead “by maid service at California hotel”. According to TMZ, Heard was found dead in a hotel in Palo Alto, California. TMZ reports the actor was recovering from minor back surgery that took place on Wednesday. Heard is best known for playing Peter McCallister, the father in the Home Alone movies. Heard also starred in Big with Tom Hanks, and appeared in hit productions such as The Sopranos and Battlestar Galactica. Rest in Peace John Heard.
