Blake Shelton is sorry posting “racist” tweets.
Blake Shelton apologizes for his racist tweets on Twitter and blaming his racist-tweet scandal on his bad taste in humor.
“Everyone knows comedy has been a major part of my career and it’s always been out there for anyone to see,” the “Voice” star wrote in a Twitter statement on Wednesday. “That said anyone that knows me also knows I have no tolerance for hate of any kind of form.”
Over the weekend, Twitter detectives discovered offensive tweets Shelton posted between 2009 and 2011 and according to Page Six, The Voice reps are now doing damage control after the story went viral.
“Wish the [bleep]head in the next room would either shut up or learn some English so I would at least know what he’s planning to bomb,” one old Shelton tweet read.
Another said, “Standing in line at a coffee shop in LA talking with the man in front of me. He orders a skinny caramel latte. I couldn’t tell he was gay!!!”
