Angelina Jolie may come from an acting family, but that doesn’t mean she wants her children to follow in her footsteps.
The 40-year-old actress admitted during an appearance on the Today show that she and husband Brad Pitt would only be happy for their six kids to take on Hollywood if they had done something else first.
“I hope not!” Angelina said with a laugh when asked if her children had caught the acting bug.
“We’ve always said if they’re going to be actors I hope they do something [else first] and then be actors,” she added.
The A-list couple have six children together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
Angelina Jolie also revealed she took her kids to work on set of Kung Fu Panda 3. ‘I think what was so sweet about it was that they took it very seriously,’ she said. They came in and said, “I don’t know if I could do this. I’m not sure if I can do this.”
Angelina Jolie also gave acting advice to her kids. “And to talk them through it – it was simple little things – but they really took it seriously as a job and getting it right and not doing a bad job.”
Angelina Jolie was being interviewed alongside co-star Jack Black, whose nine-year-old son also has a role in the movie.
