Benedict Cumberbatch Secures Role as Pete Seeger in Upcoming Bob Dylan Biopic
Renowned actor Benedict Cumberbatch has officially joined the highly-anticipated film project, A Complete Unknown, a biopic centered around the life of legendary musician Bob Dylan. In a recent interview with Deadline, director James Mangold disclosed the exciting news of Cumberbatch’s involvement.
Mangold, at the helm of this production for Disney’s Searchlight Pictures, has already enlisted Timothée Chalamet to portray the iconic singer-songwriter. Additionally, Elle Fanning has been cast in a significant role alongside them.

Cumberbatch will assume the character of Pete Seeger, a pivotal figure in Dylan’s early career. Production for A Complete Unknown is set to commence in August, promising an immersive exploration of Dylan’s life.
