Ben Affleck as “Batman” Leads to an Internet Backlash

Date:

Ben Affleck becomes Batman. Internet goes CRAZY

The surprise of the casting directors to choose Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel is starting an online fire of epic proportions.

It is not just your Facebook either, all over Twitter, Reddit, and Pinterest there are mentions of “batman” and “Affleck” minutes after the annoucement yesterday.

There is a 6,000 person signed petition protesting Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight (If you would like to sign the petition on Change.org, Click Here)

On Facebook, where Batman and Warner Bros. pages are common as Facebook ads, pages are flooded with negative comments including several anti-Ben Affleck. The most over-the-top social media event is a Mass Suicide to occur on July 2014 (we hope it’s a joke).

This public backlash makes us ask one of two things, how bad were the other auditions? Or, could it be that Ben Affleck may just be that good?
