Channing Tatum’s ‘Step Up’ TV series is now casting lead speaking roles.
Are you looking for your next audition? Are you a talented dancer/actor? If so then I had the audition for you. Casting directors are holding a talent search for the new Lions gate TV series STEP UP. Casting directors are looking for one female and one male dancer/actor to work on the new episodic TV series. Filming will shoot in Atlanta, GA and the deadline to submit is this April 24.
YouTube will be picking up the series and it will be the video networks biggest scripted series yet. The new drama series will come from Lions gate TV and is based on the film franchise has grossed over $600 million of the global box office. The show will begin production later on this year will later debut on YouTube read next year as the subscription video services first full-fledged, big-budget original drama series. It is one of several new series unveiled by the YouTube company.
Channing Tatum and Janet to win Tatum who costarred in the original step up movie will executive produce a serious adaptation with the movie’s producers Adam Shenkman, Jennifer Gibgot, and Meredith Milton.
About Step Up TV Series:
The Step Up series is described as a heart-pounding, sexy, music-filled drama about dancers in a contemporary performing arts school.
The original Step Up (2006), was followed by four other movies – Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up: 3D, Step Up: Revolution and Step Up: All In. The last two films were released by Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment label.

Step Up Casting Call
- Tal – Open Call – 18-21 years. BI-RACIAL. Skinny, smart, with a quick witted sense of humor. He is gay, but doesn’t advertise that fact nor does he hide it. Has a higher IQ and EQ than his ambitious, powerhouse twin sister Janelle. A talented ballet/contemporary dancer, Tal initially loves dance just to make sense of the world and ground himself – though he is terrified at performing publicly and therefore can’t really see it as a career. PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT IF YOU FIT THE AGE AND DESCRIPTION OF THIS ROLE.
- Janelle – Open Call – 18-21 years. BI-RACIAL. Beautiful, determined and insanely motivated dancer who was a rock star in her small town as the head cheerleader of the states biggest hip hop cheer squad. A self-centered young woman who doesn’t waste much sympathy on people. Initially feels like a fish out of water when she arrives in her new home in Atlanta.
