Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ Starring Robert De Niro Open Casting Call

The Irishman open casting call for background actors in New York City.

Martin Scorsese is ramping up production for his new movie and now hiring background actors to work on the new movie. Casting directors are seeking Italian Americans of all ages, interested in working as extras for the film, between mid-September and the end of January, 2018.

According to reports, casting directors are looking for people that tri-state area who are interested to appear in the movie.

About The Irishman:

Martin Scorsese’s new project The Irishman will reunite Scorsese with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, and it marks his first film with Al Pacino. De Niro will play Frank Sheeran, a high-ranking Teamsters official with ties to the Bufalino crime family. Shortly before his death in 2003, Sheeran confessed that he killed fellow Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa, whose body has never been found. He also claimed that it was Hoffa who wanted John F. Kennedy killed.

The Irishman was written by the Gangs of New York writer Steve Zaillin and based on the Charles Brandt’s best-selling book I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran & Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa.

Those that live in the tri-state area who are interested are encouraged to email [email protected] with a clear current photo, name, phone number, age and wardrobe sizes, as well as if they are a member of SAG-AFTRA or are non-union. Selfies are acceptable. The email should contain the words “Flyer Italian Americans” in the subject line. The work is paid.
