Job Description
Description: Carla Hool Casting is seeking a talented actor for a significant role in the new Alejandro Monteverde feature film titled “The New Eve.” This casting is open to actors based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and India.
Role: Scholar
- Character Description: Male, 50s-70s, South Asian/Indian. The Scholar is a rich, intelligent, and spiritual man. He is working on a scroll when he receives a message via carrier pigeon from his old friend, The Astrologer, who gives him long-awaited news. He joins The Astrologer from India and the Mystic from Nubia on a journey to Israel, where they are feted by King Herod. Unaware of Herod’s true intentions, they learn the truth through a vision from the Mystic and proceed to sneak out of Herod’s palace. They travel to Bethlehem, discover Mary and her baby in a cave, and prostrate themselves before them.
Job Responsibilities
- Acting: Deliver a compelling performance that captures the essence of the Scholar.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the director, Alejandro Monteverde, and other cast members to bring authenticity to the character.
- Lines: Perform one speech and one line across five scenes.
