FOX’s TV Pilot ‘EMPIRE’ is now casting extras to work on the new Lee Daniels’ project filming in Chicago.
Casting directors posted a casting call looking for background actors to work on the upcoming hip-hop drama, “Empire”.
The series centers on the world of a hip-hip empire. The drama will feature original and new music. Terrence Howard was recently cast as the lead role in the series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Howard will play Lucious Lyon, the head of a record label, in the drama from The Butler‘s Daniels and Strong. Lucious is described as charismatic, tough, wise and a superstar in the music industry who oversees Empire Entertainment and is about to take the company public. Raised on the streets, he has never backed away from a fight and will resort to any measures, fair or foul, to defend his beloved Empire.”
Casting directors are mostly looking for African American background actors. There will be nightclub scenes, and yacht scenes. This series centers on a world of young, hip and great looking people in a majority of the scenes. The director Lee Daniels will be looking and choosing extras personally for the series and certain talents will even have the opportunity to be featured in the project.
Casting directors report the best way to get cast is to send a picture of talents dressed in a hip and trendy nightclub outfit. They are asking for a close up picture of the talents face and a full length body shot. For more details see the casting call below:
