ABC ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Casting Call for amputees to work featured roles in Los Angeles, California
The show’s premise originated with Shonda Rhimes, who serves as an executive producer, along with Betsy Beers, Mark Gordon, Krista Vernoff, Rob Corn, Mark Wilding, and Allan Heinberg. The series was created to be racially diverse, utilizing a color-blind casting technique.
Grey’s Anatomy centers on surgical interns, residents, fellows and attendings as they experience the difficult, competitive and demanding career of medicine. Season 11 of Grey’s Anatomy is to focus more on Meredith according to the showrunner, Shonda Rhimes. “[Season 11] is really a Meredith-centric season. She’s lost her ‘person,’ her [half-]sister has shown up, her husband is chafing to go someplace else…” Shonda Rhimes also revealed that she’s been wanting to do a different story line for a long time. According to TV Line, Shonda Rhimes also claimed that Season 11 will pick up right where Season 10 left us, so there won’t be much that the audience won’t see.
Jeff Olan Casting is currently seeking amputees to be featured on an upcoming episode. Filming will take place sometime between August 15th and August 25th.
