Amazon.com latest TV pilot “Red Oaks” posted a casting call for extras in New York City.
“Red Oaks” is the latest project to get a pilot greenlight by the studio arm of the Amazon.com streaming service. “Red Oaks” features Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh who is known for Out of Sight, Erin Brockovich, Traffic and Contagion, and the remake of Ocean’s Eleven will executive produce.
David Gordon Green (Eastbound & Down) is attached to direct and executive produce.
Red Oaks centers on 20-year-old David Myers who takes a job as an assistant tennis pro at the predominantly Jewish Red Oaks country club in New Jersey and tries to figure out what kind of life he wants to lead.
Grant Wilfley Casting is currently seeking extras to play 1980’s Country Club types in the Amazon.com pilot. Producers are also looking people with cars from the 1970s and 1980s.
