Named after the world famous talk-show presenter Oprah Winfrey, the Oprah Winfrey Network is a entertainment TV channel that debuted five years ago. The network features a wide array of TV shows including The Haves and Have Nots to Oprah’s Life Class. OWN makes it clear that they strive to provide a mix of programs that are meant to educate as well as inspire its viewers.
There are a ton of film job opportunities including the OWN Summer 2016 Internship. The Own Summer 2016 Internship is a 10 week paid learning experience offering men and women resources, hands-on training and networking opportunities to succeed in the entertainment industry.
OWN Interns will be placed in individual departments that match their education background and interests. Previous interns have been placed in Business and Legal Affairs, Marketing, Programming and Development, Talent, Public Relations, Production, Scheduling and Acquisitions, Research and Digital. Each departmental intern will have specific projects and work closely with their team. All interns will gain a better understanding of the entertainment industry through research, attending meetings, administrative duties and interacting with both internal and external contacts.
There are several other film jobs such as Project Manager, Digital Marketing, Producers, and writing positions.
