ABC is now seeking aspiring writers for the 2017 ABC talent showcase.
Disney is not the only studio looking for writers. ABC has announced their opportunity for aspiring writers to submit to their 2017 talent showcase for original scenes.
The deadline to submit is Friday, June 2.
ABC casting is seeking original scene submissions for their upcoming talent showcase. This one-night event is produced by the ABC casting department to showcase new talent in the industry. The talent showcase offers an opportunity for aspiring writers to show off their skills to some of the industry’s biggest executives, producers, and agents.
It was launched in 2012 and since then 50 new writers and 46 original scenes have been selected. Writers that have worked on the show have later written in TV pilots for ABC and have gone on to join Late Night with Seth Meyers.
To apply applicants must send at most three scenes. Each scene must have a beginning middle and end and be limited to two characters. The page count for each scene should not exceed six pages.
