Did you love Stepbrothers starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly? Well get ready for a duo to collab again for a new feature film.
According to Deadline, the improv professionals are working on a new movie about two border patrol guards who end up getting into trouble.
The studio has closed a deal with Oscar-nominated In The Loop writer Jesse Armstrong to pen Border Guards. It’s a comedy that McKay is eyeing to direct, with Ferrell and Reilly playing two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the U.S. [Deadline]
If you didn’t know, Stepbrothers was a series of sketches that were loosely stitched together to make a complete movie. This was most likely accomplished due to how talented these two improv comedians are.
