Casting director’s for FX new television series ‘How and Why’ Starring Michael Cera is now casting teens for a bully role in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The comedy’s initial description reads, “The story of a man who can explain how and why a nuclear reactor works, but is clueless about life.” The pilot was written and directed by famed screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, who won two Academy Awards for “Being John Malkovich” and “Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.” Kaufman will executive produce with Anthony Bregman, who also collaborated with him on “Eternal Sunshine.”
Casting directors are seeking teens to portray bullies in the new FX television series.

WILMINGTON, NC- Thank you so much for everyone who submitted for the BULLY role! Those who are being considered have already been contacted if you have already submitted. I do need a few more options to diversify my look. I need some Caucasian blonde male teens 15-17 yr old with sports, martial arts or gymnastics background.(PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY AND PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT IF YOUR CHILD MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS)
I am going to need a handful of boys for a scene that will need to be able to take directions for choreographed movements that will look like a fight, BUT NO ACTUAL PHYSICAL CONTACT (MAYBE SOME LIGHT SHOVING) SHOULD TAKE PLACE WITH IN THE SCENE. So looking for boys who have good body control and can take directions so that is why I am focusing on boys with sports, martial arts or gymnastics background.
As of right now the scene is scheduled for WED APRIL 30 (please note that this can always change) and we ask that if you submit your child that they are available all day. The pay for this specialty extra is $120/12hr. I am really looking for boys in the Wilmington area or close surrounding areas because we will be setting up “auditions” for some day next week most likely after school and then whoever is selected will than need to be available for a rehearsal day as well.
