2019 Emmys Ratings Drop 32% Hitting a Record Low

Date:

Here’s why the ratings for the Emmys saw a double-digit drop.

According to Nielsen, the 71st Emmy Awards gained the attention of 6.9 million total viewers on Fox last night. The award celebration got a 1.6 rating amount the key demographic of adults ages 18 to 49.

The annual special saw a 33% drop in 18 to 49-year-olds and a 32% drop overall from last year. NBC’s 2018 awards show saw a prior historic low of 2.4 ratings with 10.2 million viewers.
