John Turturro joins the cast of ‘The Batman‘
Following the news Andy Serkis will play Alfred in the upcoming Robert Pattinson movie, ‘The Batman’, director Matt Reeves continues to roll out new cast announcements through Twitter. On Friday, the director revealed John Turturro will play mob boss Carmine Falcone aka The Roman. Falcone first appeared in ‘The Batman: Year One’ in 1987 and in the comic books he takes over Gotham with the help of his crime family.
The confirmed list of actors for the upcoming movie includes Robert Pattinson as the lead, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Paul Dano as Riddler. Colin Farrell is currently in talks to play the Penguin.
Filming for ‘The Batman’ is set to start later this December and scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

John Michael Turturro is an Italian American actor, writer and filmmaker known for his roles in the films Spike Lee’s ‘Do the Right Thing’, ‘Miller’s Crossing’, ‘Barton Fink’, ‘Quiz Show’, the critically-acclaimed ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’ and the Transformers franchise.
