The seven-time F1 champion will be the main creative force behind the project.
Apple Studios have acquired the rights to an as-of-yet nameless Formula 1 project. Brad Pitt will star in the forthcoming film, which Top Gun will direct: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. According to reports, the production will be handled by Jerry Bruckheimer and F1 driver Sir Lewis Hamilton.

It’s been reported that Pitt will play a former F1 driver who has been brought out of retirement to coach a young driver. It may follow Michael Schumacher’s path to Formula 1, alongside his younger brother Nico Rosberg.
The Netflix Formula 1 documentary series F1: Drive to Survive bolsters the international racing league’s popularity. It appears that Hollywood is taking advantage of its growing popularity. With a $140 million budget, the studios have attracted many who worked on the recent Top Gun sequel, including writer Ehren Kruger, producer Jerry Bruckheim and Chad Homen.
