Elon Musk Retracts Ban On Promotion Of Other Platforms In Latest Twitter Policy Update.
Only a day after Elon Musk declared that Twitter would ban accounts for linking to competing for social media networks, the contentious CEO is now amending the policy. Now saying, the new rule would apply only to accounts wherein the “primary purpose is the promotion of competitors,” which, Musk writes, “essentially falls under the no spam rule.”

After the announcement of the stringent policy, Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey and Edward Snowden posed a single yet powerful query: “Why?”. After publishing the new rules on their website, they quickly took down all tweets and web pages.
Recently-deleted tweets claimed that Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr, and Post links or usernames would induce suspension if used.
