Three brand-new, live-action Star Wars movies are in the works at Lucasfilm! When these fantastic films come out, get ready to explore new galaxies and stories with your favorite characters.
Lucasfilm recently unveiled that three spectacular live-action Star Wars films are in the making! During its annual studio showcase, Lucasfilm’s President Kathleen Kennedy announced Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023.
Legendary filmmakers James Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will helm these three movies. Mangold is the director who recently took the reins from Steven Spielberg for the fifth Indiana Jones flick, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, while Dave Filoni most notably directed The Mandalorian. The illustrious Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, whose impressive achievements include Academy and Emmy Awards, is the visionary director behind Ms. Marvel.
Mangold’s film will be a prequel to the beginning of the Jedi legacy. At the same time, Filoni’s series focuses on The New Republic and concludes the intertwined stories of Disney+ series such as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
After the culmination of Rise of Skywalker, Obaid-Chinoy’s project will commence with Daisy Ridley reprising her role as Rey, who is determined to create a new Jedi order.
