Sons of Anarchy is an American TV Drama series created by Kurt Sutter revolving around the lives of a closely tied motorcycle club operating in Northern California. The show centers on Jackson “Jax” Teller, portrayed by Charlie Hunnam, who begins to question the club and himself. Sons of Anarchy premiered on September 3, 2008 on FX. The third season alone was able to average 4.9 million viewers a week, making it the highest rated series ever on FX, surpassing other hit shows such as, Nip/Tuck, The Shield, and Rescue Me.
The Sons of Anarchy is an outlaw motorcycle club with many different groups across the United States. The show focuses on the original and founding charter, Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original, also known as SAMCRO or Sam Crow. It is interesting to note that the original name of the show was to be titled Forever Sam Crow. The redwood charter is located in Charming, California, led by President Clay Morrow, the club protects the community through violence, and intimidation.

Since Sons of Anarchy has been released it has had a favorable review over the course it has been on the air. The review website Metacritic noted the first season with a 68 out of 100 but later grew to 81 out of 100 in terms of critical reception.
