Leonardo DiCaprio Teams up with Jonah Hill and Q-Tip for a new television series
Grammy Award winning hip-hop artist Q-tip is teaming up with Wolf of Wall Street movie stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill to develop a scripted TV series based on the rapper’s experiences.
According to Deadline, the project will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way and is expected to be taken out to networks later this week.
Q-Tip is known for the critically acclaimed hip hop group ‘A Tribe Called Quest’ which he started nearly 30 years ago with his friends Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi White. The project will center on Q-tip’s experiences with the group and creating the group ‘ A Tribe Called Quest.
The show will center on the stories of their friendship and how music played a part in culture then and how it has influenced music of today.
