If you don’t know the Walking Dead is a post-apocalypse drama television series developed for television by Frank Darabont. It is based on the comic book series The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkmain, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The Walking Dead centers on Andrew Lincoln as sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes who wakes up after being in a coma to find the world taken over by “walkers”, resembling zombies of horror movies. He sets out to find his family and survivors while trying to save alive. The Walking Dead premiered on October 31, 2010 on the cable channel AMC. The show has been critically acclaimed by critics, and has won many award nominations, including a Writers Guild America Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award nomination for the best TV Series Drama.
