Hank Williams Biopic ‘I Saw the Light’ Open Casting Call for Speaking Roles, Extras and Cars in Louisiana.
The film, “I Saw the Light” is the story of Hank Williams, starring Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams. Casting directors are seeking actors for speaking roles.
According to Bustle, “I Saw the Light” features Tom Hiddleston (Avengers) as Hank Williams Sr. The movie will center around the life and times of the country music legend, Hank Williams. Despite his major country music success, Hank Williams had a difficult life. Hank Williams suffered severe back pain, alcoholism and prescription drug abuse. It affected his health in highly negative ways, and he was fired by the Grand Ole Opry because of unreliability and frequent drunkenness. The country music singer died on January 1, 1953, at the age of 29 as a result of heart failure caused by pills and alcohol.
Filming for the Hank Williams Biopic “I Saw The Light” will film in Shreveport, Louisiana starting Mid October. Casting directors will be holding an open casting call for speaking and non-speaking roles. Legacy Casting and Tracy Kilpatrick of “The Casting Office” is holding an open casting call for actors, models, extras and cars for the feature film, “I Saw the Light“.
According to the casting call, an open casting call will be held on Sunday, September 14th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m at 6901 W. 70th Shreveport, Louisiana 71129.
“Also we are looking for extras of all ages (mostly adults) and anyone who has any “western outfits” should attend the open call wearing those outfits. We are also seeking period vehicles from 1930 – 1950. It is not necessary to bring the vehicle, but please bring good photographs of the vehicles. Everyone should bring non-returnable current photos of themselves for us to keep. We can’t wait to see you there!”
