Nobody liked the Drumline sequel, ‘Drumline: A New Beat’
Thousands of fans of the original ‘Drumline’ took to Twitter to poke fun and hate on the VH1 sequel.
The original “Drumline” movie premiered in theaters in 2012 and became a box office hit. Thousands of peopled lined up to join the drumline and millions were once again to see the band play live. Vh1 premiered the sequel to the marching band movie on Monday night, and it was instantly a disaster.
The Twitter hashtag #Drumline2 was trending late into the night with very few people having nice things to say. Nick Cannon starred as a college student Devon Miles in the original, returns only for a few scenes in the sequel.

‘Drumline: A New Beat’ was filmed in June earlier this year throughout Atlanta, Georgia. It was the expected to be a success following the TLC biopic. But, the saddest part about the movie was that the writers, producers and the director were actually trying to create a movie that people would enjoy and it seems as though it backfired.
