Michael Bay’s ‘The Last Ship’ Season 2 is now casting extras in San Diego, California.
Michael Bay’s hit TV series ‘The Last Ship’ is now casting Navy sailors to work on the upcomign production. According to Navy Times, TNT is holding an open casting call for extras to work on the TV series.
From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13th, sailors are invited to drop in to Building 45 at the Recreation Center NBSD, in the Blue and Gold Conference rooms. Applicants must bring an I-9 form (downloadable here) and written permission from their chain of command to participate.
“The Last Ship” is currently filming its second season, set to premiere this summer. The Last Ship centers around Cmdr. Tom Chandler (Eric Dane), commanding officer of the fictional destroyer Nathan James, has returned from deployment to a world where 80 percent of the population is dead or dying of a highly contagious super-virus.
For those wishing to attend the casting call but cannot make the time, they can send an email to [email protected] with their current photo, contact information – including an email and phone number, height and weight. Write NAVY in the subject line of the email.

Men and Women (to portray 18 – 55) are needed as Paid Background Actors
to play ‘NAVY’ for the popular TV series,’ THE LAST SHIP’
(TNT series produced by Michael Bay).
CIVILIANS, ACTIVE DUTY and RETIRED MILITARY are all invited!
OPEN CASTING CALL:
When: Saturday, February 7th
Time: 12pm – 4pm (drop in anytime)
Where: Porto Vista Hotel (Costa del Sol room)
1835 Columbia St., San Diego, 92101 (cross st: Fir) Little Italy
Parking: Metered street parking, Valet parking at hotel ($2.00)
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL!!!
Please bring: Your I-9 documents: You will be required to complete an I-9 form. Visit the Homeland Security Website for a list of acceptable documents: www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf This will tell you which IDs to bring to complete your I-9 form.

For men cast: Your hair/ beard may need to be ‘cleaned’ up by our hair department. Women cast: will need to pull their hair back.
All who are cast will work in uniform provided by the costume dept.
