The new Ghostbusters movie reveals the highly anticipated cast featuring Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy
The Hollywood Reporter has just released some major casting news regarding the upcoming Ghostbusters 3 movie. Paul Feig’s all-female cast is made with some pretty big names, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
Filming for the new Ghostbusters movie is set to take place in New York City this summer 2015. But, The Hollywood Reporter points out that all four actresses are still working through negotiations, but Wiig, McCarthy, Jones, and McKinnon are still expected to sign on and make it official.
This may actually turn out to be a big movie. Melissa McCarthy and Wiig both worked with Paul Feig on Bridesmaids, and that went pretty well. In addition, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are currently doing a pretty good job on Saturday Night Live, as long as you overlook The Worst SNL Skit Ever.Â
No further details about the plot or characters were given, but McCarthy is rumored to be the ringleader of the group and that seems like a pretty good start to the Ghostbusters reboot.
