‘Game of Thrones‘ Season 6 will film in Spain.
Everyone wants a piece of the ‘Game of Thrones’. HBO has recently announced the filming locations for Season 6 of the ‘Game of Thrones’ and you may or may not be surprised.
The country that doubled for Dorne in season 5 will be the filming location for season 6 of the ‘Game of Thrones’ – SPAIN.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO will film portions of season 6 in the country. Spain has been an important filming location in season five, with the country serving as the setting for Dorne, a land newly introduced this year.
Filming will take place in the cities of Girona and Peniscola. For season 5, the show shot in Osuna and Seville, with the latter city reporting a huge increase in tourism as a result of the show. Thousands of background extras applied last year when a casting call went out in Spain.
