According to reports, Lilian Carter, the widow of Terry Carter, claims that Universal was negligent by continuing filming in Compton, CA after Dr. Dre told the production that Knight was dangerous.

She also argues that Suge Knight “carelessly, recklessly, violently, and negligently drove Vehicle 1 towards Bone … causing Vehicle 1 to strike Terry Carter and killing him.”

The incident, which took place several months ago in Compton, happened near the location of a ‘Straight Outta Compton’ promotional shoot.

“This lawsuit concerns the tragic tale of how reckless corporate greed, disguised as the quest for authenticity, (led) to a foreseeable altercation that resulted in the death of a successful businessman,” reads the complaint.

It is important to note that this is not the first time violence erupted on set of Straight Outta ComptonAugust of 2014, a drive-by shoot hit and nearly killed a crew member on set of the upcoming feature film.
O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell are starring as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, respectively.
