A children’s entertainment production is seeking a talented bilingual female storytime host in Miami, Florida. This non-union casting opportunity is perfect for a warm, energetic, and engaging performer who enjoys storytelling, singing, and interacting with children. The selected host will lead fun and educational storytime sessions in English and Spanish, with the potential for recurring bookings.
Job Responsibilities
- Host engaging and interactive storytime sessions for children.
- Read children’s stories aloud with enthusiasm and expressive delivery.
- Switch naturally between English and Spanish during performances.
- Sing children’s songs, including Canticos, and lead playful activities.
- Create a welcoming, entertaining, and educational environment for children.
- Interact naturally with groups of children during live sessions.
Requirements
- Female performer, ages 25–45 or so.
- Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Comfortable switching languages mid-sentence.
- Strong storytelling skills and an engaging, expressive personality.
- Good singing voice or willingness to sing children’s songs.
- Warm, friendly, playful, and comfortable working with children.
- Puppetry or character performance skills are a plus but not required.
- Must be available for occasional weekend morning bookings.
- Non-union performers.
- Based in or able to work in Miami, Florida.
Compensation
- $300 per 2-hour session.
- 20% agency fee (AF).
