TBS cancels ‘King of the Nerds’

According to reports, TBS has pulled the plug on ‘King of the Nerds’. TBS has decided to cancel the reality competition series King of the Nerds after three seasons, co-host Curtis Armstrong announced on Friday.

King of the Nerds averaged 2.7 million total viewers and the ultimate series finale drew 1.2 million people in the key adult demographic.

King of the Nerds centered around a group of news moving into a house called “Nerdvana”and competing for $100,000, was hosted by Revenger of the Nerds star Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong.

According to reports, the series was developed under TBS’ previous executives, but as THR pointed out, “current network topper Kevin Reilly looking for edgier fare in a bid to make waves and draw viewers in an incredibly competitive landscape.”
