Job Description
The Montreal International Film Festival is seeking a Community Manager / Content Creator to help strengthen and grow its community of filmmakers, film lovers, and creatives. This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys social media, content creation, storytelling, community engagement, and keeping up with digital trends. The selected candidate will serve as an active face and voice of the festival’s film club community, creating authentic audience connections and supporting engaging content and activations.
Job Responsibilities
- Create authentic connections with the festival’s online and in-person community.
- Host small social media events, vox pops, and street-interview-style content.
- Help animate festival pop-ups and community activations.
- Moderate and engage with the community chat, answer questions, and encourage conversation.
- Create and share engaging social media content.
Requirements
- Strong interest in content creation and social media.
- Comfortable engaging directly with audiences and communities.
- Able to create engaging, authentic, trend-aware content.
- Comfortable appearing in social content, interviews, and community activations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in film, festivals, filmmakers, or creative communities is beneficial.
