Kim Kardashian had no clue that Kanye West wanted to become President.
Thousands of people turned to see Miley Cyrus host the VMAs this year and if you stayed to watch the final 10 minutes of the award show then you witnessed the now infamously shocking Kanye West speech that went viral in a matter of a few seconds.
Taylor Swift presented the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award to Kanye West during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles – and the rapper announced that he will eventually run for president of the United States.
“I have decided in 2020 to run for president,” West rocked audiences at the end of his speech.
Well, apparently, Kim Kardashian was shocked to hear the news. In an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Kim Kardashian discussed her husband’s big announcement, and according to Kim Kardashian West, Kanye is “serious” about running for president.
“I believe he is serious and I know that if he puts his mind to something, he’ll do his best,” she told DeGeneres. “It’s been fascinating just hearing all of the conversations that have gone on since that announcement. I don’t know if that was planned and I just didn’t know about it, or if he came up with that idea right then and there.”
But despite the lack of communication in their Hollywood relationship, Kardashian revealed that she will be supportive of her husband. “If he puts his mind to something, he’ll do his best.”
