The independent short film Paradiso is seeking a Cinematographer for a low-budget, self-funded production filming in Los Angeles, California. Paradiso is a modern noir inspired by Hollywood’s golden age. The story follows Xavier, an aspiring young actor who receives a rare opportunity to star in a television series after a difficult week of auditions, only to confront the darker side of the entertainment industry. The production plans to film at classic Hollywood locations and is looking for someone interested in run-and-gun independent filmmaking and dark, moody visual storytelling.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Cinematographer for the short film
- Collaborate with the director on the film’s visual approach
- Help create a stylish, dark, modern-noir aesthetic
- Capture footage across various Los Angeles and Hollywood locations
- Work effectively within a run-and-gun indie production environment
- Collaborate professionally with the production team
Requirements
- Cinematography experience or a strong interest in developing cinematography skills
