Caitlyn Jenner's transition is celebrated around the world, but how has it impacted his Kardashian and Jenner family?
When Bruce Jenner admitted that he was no longer interested in being a man and decided to transition into a woman, many people asked “what kind of impact would that have on the Kardashian family?”. Well according to Keeping Up With The Kardashians it did not bode very well for the family.
It is important to keep in mind that the Kardashian family is not the most sensitive family in the world.
But, on the Oct. 4 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Khloe gets extremely defensive over what Caitlyn Jenner said about her mom, Kris Jenner.
All of Caitlyn Jenner's kids have shown their support for her during and after her transition, but an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians is about to reveal the real frustrations the family has had, especially Khloe Kardashian, 31.
As Khloe, Kim Kardashian, and Kourtney Kardashian are all talking about Caitlyn in the clip, Khloe is clearly upset by Caitlyn sharing some rather disappointing words about their mom in interviews. “Do as many articles as you want and do as many great things for the transgender community,” Khloe says to her sisters, “but how does that mean bashing my mom?” And that's just the beginning — watch what else she has to say!
After which, Khloe expresses her frustration with Kim and Kourtney, “I am all for Caitlyn screaming from the rooftops about her transition,” Khloe says. “I think it's beautiful and I think Caitlyn should take pride in everything that she's doing and the strength that it takes to do what she's doing on such a public platform. That being said, Caitlyn does not need to tear anyone else down to build herself up.”
While Khloe Kardashian doesn't specifically reference any of Caitlyn quotes in the clip, she's likely referring to what Caitlyn said about Kris in her interview with Vanity Fair about her transition, in which she called Kris “less tolerant” and claimed she was mistreated by her ex-wife.
“We don't believe in bashing anybody,” Khloe continued. “I expect her to do the same.” Whoa, it seems like there could be a pretty dramatic conversation coming on KUWTK if Khloe decides to approach Caitlyn about all of this!
Overall, Caitlyn Jenner's transition has caused a ton of pain for the Kardashian family behind the scenes. In fact, Kendall Jenner recently revealed how Kendall Jenner struggled to accept Dad Bruce Jenner's transition to Caitlyn Jenner.
“We don't believe in bashing anybody,” Khloe continued. “I expect her to do the same.” Whoa, it seems like there could be a pretty dramatic conversation coming on KUWTK if Khloe decides to approach Caitlyn about all of this!
“He's the most amazing person I know,” a tearful Kendall told the cameras during the May special. “I couldn't ask for a better dad. He taught me how to ride a bike and be the tomboy that I am…he would drive us to school and he would be the first one in line to pick us up.”
The Lancome spokesmodel has had some time to adjust to her father's transition since filming that tearful scene. During an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Kendall revealed she's known about her dad's struggle since she was young.
“He's the most amazing person I know,” a tearful Kendall told the cameras during the May special. “I couldn't ask for a better dad. He taught me how to ride a bike and be the tomboy that I am…he would drive us to school and he would be the first one in line to pick us up.”
According to TGMentalHealth, a website that centers around transgender health issues, one of the biggest issues after a transition is that emotional issues that were not addressed before are still there despite transitioning. While, I do not know for certain if Caitlyn Jenner is experiencing any these issues, it is pretty clear from Keeping Up With the Kardashians that the family is still struggling to deal with Caitlyn Jenner's transition.
