Job Description

A new musical in development is seeking non-union performers based in New York and Connecticut for a fall creative retreat. The Sound of an Anklet follows a Tamil-American law student who reconnects with her cultural roots through the ancient epic Silappatikaram while navigating a strained marriage, immigration challenges, and personal ambition. As myth and reality begin to intertwine, she must rediscover her voice, embrace her passion for dance, and determine whether love is worth fighting for. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on a new musical during its development process.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in rehearsals and development sessions during the fall retreat.
• Collaborate with the creative team to help shape the new musical.
• Perform material as directed throughout the workshop process.
• Contribute professionally in a collaborative creative environment.

Requirements

• Non-union performers only.
• Must be local to New York or Connecticut.
• Strong acting and musical theater performance skills are encouraged.
• Comfortable participating in a developmental workshop environment.
• Available for the fall retreat at Bingham Camp.

Compensation
