Job Description
A documentary production is hiring a Director of Photography (DP) for a cinéma vérité film shooting in Lexington, Kentucky. The project follows a seven-year story about recovery and is seeking a cinematographer with a strong visual style, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to real-life situations as they unfold.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Director of Photography for a documentary production.
- Capture cinematic vérité-style footage.
- Adapt quickly to changing environments and unscripted moments.
- Collaborate with the director to achieve the project’s creative vision.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Director of Photography or Cinematographer.
- Strong cinematic eye and documentary filmmaking experience preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-moving, real-world environments.
- Camera equipment is preferred but not required.
- Available to film in Lexington, Kentucky.
