Here’s Clint Eastwood’s best piece of directing advice.
Clint Eastwood is one of Hollywood’s most popular directors, actors, and producers. He has starred in dozens of movies, directed Academy Award productions, and isn’t afraid to voice his opinion on the film industry.
You would assume that it would be tough to be a daughter of Clint Eastwood, growing up of the shadows of an Academy Award winning filmmaker. But, according to a new interview with Alison Eastwood, she apparently learned a lot.
Alison Eastwood explained the best piece of directing advice she ever received from her father. “He has a dry sense of humor. So his biggest piece of advice for me as a director was, “Make sure you get a lot of sleep, because you’re going to need it.”
Eastwood added: “He did tell me when I was directing my first movie [2007’s Rails & Ties], “Make sure that you make a definitive decision about what you what it is you want to do, what you want from the movie, or the characters or the actors, and don’t stray.””
