Star Wars to Protect Filming with “Drone Army”

Date:

Star Wars will be protected by a “drone army” during the filming of Episode VIII.

According to reports, drones are going to be used to protect the secrecy of filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII in Croatia next month.

They will use their drone army to intercept other “uninvited” drones which have been sent in to photograph and record scenes from the new movie.

According to Mos Croatia, Disney is also hiring 600 guards to make sure nobody messes with the actors while they’re filming scenes for the latest Star Wars movie.

Residents in Dubrovnik have been told that filming will start on March 9th. In 2014, scenes being filmed for Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Greenham Common in Berkshire were shot by drones and uploaded online. In fact, Pinewood ordered a drone defense shield system to stop leaks on set two years ago.

In addition, BBC reports that Dutch police are training eagles to grab illegal drones out of the sky.

The next Star Wars movie will hit theaters next December.

If you are interested in a job with Star Wars, Lucasfilm is now hiring. And Star Wars: Episode VIII is now casting extras.
