CMT upgrades background extra to a speaking role on the new TV series Million Dollar Quartet.
On Location Casting posted on Facebook on Friday, announcing the big news that producers upgraded a background extra working on set for the day to a principal speaking role on the new TV show.
CMT is adapting the Tony Award winning musical based on the recording sessions made by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis and turning it into an eight-episode drama. It’s set to premiere later on this year. The series will focus on the rapid rise to fame of musicians during a time of political change and social unrest.
