Job Description
A heartfelt short film is casting for lead roles in “Scars in Bloom,” a story about a lonely girl who finds solace in plants and the one person who truly sees her. This emotionally rich project explores themes of acceptance, friendship, and self-discovery through quiet, visual storytelling.

Job Responsibilities

  • Bring authenticity and emotional depth to character-driven performances

  • Collaborate closely with the director and crew to convey vulnerability and growth

  • Participate in rehearsals and filming with professionalism and creativity

  • Engage with visual and environmental storytelling elements on set

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ but able to portray a teenager

  • Available for filming in Orlando, Florida

  • Comfortable with emotional and expressive acting styles

Roles Available

  • Monomay (Lead, Female): A teen girl marked by facial scars who finds comfort and confidence through her love of plants and a new friendship that helps her heal

  • Jason (Lead, Male): The school’s “Golden Boy” athlete who hides his insecurities behind his charm, learning empathy and vulnerability through his connection with Monomay

  • Fan Club (Supporting, Any Gender): A group of students who admire Jason and serve as a social backdrop to his emotional transformation
