Last week Kim Kardashian was held up at gunpoint and robbed inside a Paris apartment.
Armed robbers tied her up and took two cell phones and millions of dollars worth of jewelery. The whole experience had Kim “fearing for her life” as well as fearing “that she would be raped.”
Since then the family have remained quiet on social media, and Kim has not spoken publicly in any way about the home invasion.
However, Kholé has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spoke openly about the experience and how it has impacted Kim Kardashian and the family.
She said: “She’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic, what happened to her. But our family is super close and great, and we’ll get through it together. We do appreciate all your guys’ love and support. It will take time. It’s horrible what happened to her.”
Khloe went on to say that the whole experience was a “wake-up call” for the family. “I think it’s just a wake-up call to make a lot of life adjustments. This is a really serious matter. For Kim, I think it’s really personal as to when that emotional terror – that you could move on from it. I think it’s definitely a wake-up call to all of us, but definitely just to make sure our sister is OK.”
Khloé added that, “I think in that aspect [of sharing their lives on social media] we’ll change, and making sure that we’re as protected as possible. Like I said, we’re a family, we’ll do this together. But it is important to make those adjustments and pull back a bit.”
