A passionate student film team is seeking dedicated crew members for an upcoming short film production. The film will be shot over two days and is designed for festival submission, offering a great opportunity to gain experience, collaborate with professionals, and have your work showcased.


Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a small, creative team during film production.

  • Support technical and artistic aspects of the shoot depending on your role (Assistant Camera or Sound Recordist).

  • Operate equipment provided by the production team with professionalism and care.

  • Assist in achieving the director’s creative vision during both day and night shoots.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a positive on-set attitude.


Requirements

  • Roles Available: Assistant Camera (AC) and Sound Recordist

  • Union Status: Non-Union

  • Commitment: 2-day shoot; candidates must be available for both day and night shoots.

  • Must be passionate about filmmaking and serious about collaboration and learning.

  • Previous experience is preferred but not required — enthusiasm and dedication are essential.


Compensation

  • Type: Voluntary (unpaid)

Requirements

  • Passion for independent filmmaking and collaborative storytelling.
  • Ability to work effectively within a creative team environment.
  • Relevant experience for the selected crew position is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to a zero-budget independent production.
  • Availability for production activities in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Portfolio, reel, or previous experience is considered an asset where applicable.
