Job Description

Seeking original, never-produced works for NYC Original Voices Night, a one-night-only Off Broadway performance in New York City. This event is part of Circle Festival NYC 2025, celebrating bold, unfiltered storytelling that connects with audiences through raw, personal, and sometimes absurd perspectives on the theme of shame. Artists are invited to submit pieces that explore the topic in funny, dark, intimate, outrageous, or tender ways.

Job Responsibilities

• Submit original, unproduced work aligned with the theme of shame.

• Perform your piece live at the AMT Theater in NYC.

• Participate in rehearsals scheduled flexibly in the weeks leading up to the show.

Submission Categories

• Monologues (3–4 minutes)

• Short scenes (5–6 minutes, max 2 performers)

• Songs (any genre, up to 4 minutes)

• Poetry/spoken word (up to 4 minutes)

• Any other submission under the theme of shame

Requirements

• Must be original work (no previously produced pieces).

• Must be able to perform in New York City on the show date.

• Provide a script, lyrics, or text for your piece.

Compensation

• Possible small stipend (pending fundraising).
