Facebook’s mission is to give people the power to make the world a more open and connected place. That’s why the company’s creative services team is looking for an experienced video producer/editor to create short-form video content.

Facebook describes the job as the following, “Facebook is looking for an experienced Video Producer/Editor to create short-form video content for the Facebook AI Blog and social channels. This role will be part of the Facebook Technology Communications content team, which chronicles advances in the AI tools and systems used at Facebook as well as noteworthy new Facebook AI research projects that will drive the field of artificial intelligence forward. Our audience is the technical community of AI researchers and engineers and the tech reporters who cover our industry.”

VIDEO PRODUCER/EDITOR, AI RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute short-form video projects for the Facebook AI blog
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, in particular the engineers and researchers, who will guide you on the technical details, and Technology Communications team, who will guide you with the overall goals and messaging
  • Write scripts and plan film shoots for our video projects
  • Find new ways to use video to tell technical stories about Facebook AI’s work
  • Partner with our internal creative team and external vendors to produce high-quality graphics for our video projects
  • Help manage a content calendar and oversee the internal reviews and approvals necessary to publish video content on schedule
  • Collaborate with the Facebook AI blog editorial team, creative department, and our cross-functional partners to ensure we have a smooth process for creating high-quality content
