A comedic feature film is casting a Montreal-based actor for the role of the Accountant, a featured character with a sharp edge and dry wit. Set in a chaotic, offbeat world of a failed reality show, this role offers the chance to bring humor and authority to a supporting part that stands out among a quirky ensemble.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a savvy, jaded accountant who works for the father of the show’s bankrupt producer

  • Deliver deadpan humor and subtle power dynamics in key scenes

  • Contribute to an ensemble cast with comedic timing and presence

  • Collaborate with the director and fellow actors to shape character-driven moments

  • Bring strong nonverbal performance for understated comedic effect

Requirements

  • BIPOC actor, any gender, 30s–60s

  • Must be a Montreal or Quebec local hire

  • Strong character acting skills with a dry comedic delivery

  • Experience in improv or ensemble productions preferred

  • Must confidently portray a character with authority and quiet influence

Compensation

  • Actor Featured Role

  • ACTRA Scale: $631.25 CAD/8 hrs, with overtime at $118.50 CAD

  • 5-week shoot beginning on or around May 21, 2024

  • Featured appearance in a professional film production with strong comedic elements
