A feature-length comedy is casting a Montreal-based actor for the role of Michelle, a strong and compelling character in a scripted, improv-inspired film. Set in Europe, the story follows a cast of young improv actors stranded after their reality show collapses. Michelle plays a crucial behind-the-scenes role as a former showrunner who finds redemption and power through a bold new venture.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray Michelle, a resilient, intelligent BIPOC woman in her 40s with leadership presence

• Deliver a grounded, emotionally rich performance with subtle comedic flair

• Showcase a transition from disillusioned professional to empowered streaming executive

• Collaborate with cast and crew in a fast-paced, ensemble production

• Embrace improvisational moments while anchoring the narrative arc

Requirements

• Female actor, 40s

• BIPOC performer strongly encouraged

• Must be local to Montreal or Quebec

• Excellent acting range with strong emotional presence

• Ability to balance dramatic and comedic tones seamlessly

• Previous experience in ensemble or improv-style productions is a plus

Compensation

• Principal Supporting Role

• ACTRA Scale: $935.25 CAD/8 hrs, with overtime at $175.50 CAD

• Shooting begins on or around May 21, 2024 for 5 weeks

• Work with an acclaimed team on a character-driven, socially relevant comedy
