What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for internet culture geeks, meme aficionados, TikTok natives, who love staying on top of the latest cultural phenomenon to inspire and create cool social content. We are looking for a collaborative and skilled Content Creator with proficiency in both video and still photography, a deep understanding of social media trends and pop culture and a keen eye for framing and prop design. The ideal candidate will be adept at shooting high-quality content using both iPhone and DSLR cameras, with a mastery of lighting techniques. Additionally, they should have experience in video editing and photo retouching to ensure that the final product meets our brand standards.
You’ll work alongside social strategists and creatives to ensure quality and consistency with brand personality and ambitions. You will be the primary owner and creator of social content while also applying your expertise to incorporate the latest trends, filters, sounds, and formats into your approach. The work will range in application across organic social, paid campaigns, media activations, and beyond.

Responsibilities
- Stay on top of ever-changing social media trends, pop culture references or other relevant conversations in the social space.
- Conceptualize, film, edit and otherwise create engaging content for various social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and more.
- Shoot high-quality video and stills using both iPhone and DSLR cameras, ensuring exceptional composition, lighting, and clarity.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to develop content ideas and execute content pieces that are not only relevant, native to platform, but align with brand objectives and standards.
- Execute video editing and photo retouching.
- Manage and organize digital assets, including raw footage, photos, and edited files, to ensure efficient workflow and accessibility.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in video content creation for social media at a consumer-facing brand or agency or similar experience.
- Strong understanding of opportunities and limitations of all popular social platforms.
- A passion for staying updated on emerging trends in social media and digital content creation.
- Keen eye for design/art direction/leveraging props and styling.
- Collaborative work ethic.
- Experience creating various types of content from product shots to storytelling.
- Mid-level Experience shooting and lighting video content and still photography.
- Proficiency with photography and editing programs both in app and external (e.g., Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Capture One etc)
- Nice to have: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Illustrator.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced team environment, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously with hard deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability in adapting brand voices and visual identities to videos.
- Ability to manage projects from ideation to production, through post-production and delivery.

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $113256 – $133543 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. KOVR/KMAX Sacramento is looking for a top-notch, collaborative, and inquisitive Special Projects Photographer/Producer to join our investigative team! The successful candidate must have proven skills and the ability to dig and uncover the truth. We are looking for a dynamic storyteller who embraces the critical role of investigative journalism in supporting our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Develop compelling investigative projects
• Research and develop compelling investigative projects
• Collaborate with reporters and other team members to bring a vision to all investigative pieces
• Show creativity in production, including compelling video elements and the use of graphics
• Collaborate with members of the team to make suggestions to elevate all content
• Exhibit a strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics
• Demonstrate skill in analyzing data, backgrounding individuals, businesses, and topics
• Display experience in shooting video and crafting other visuals
• Must be an expert in utilizing Adobe Premiere and Grass Valley editing systems
• Communicate with team members and others effectively
• Maintain a strong portfolio of sources
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of major market journalism experience or experience doing investigative work and projects
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, nights, and weekends when necessary
Occasional overnight travel required

WJZ-TV in Baltimore, MD is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking News Producer Editor who is curious, collaborative, and highly adaptable. We’re searching for a true Swiss Army knife—someone who’s expertise and passion for news production to build both engaging content and newscasts that captivates our audiences on multiple platforms working with both Creative Services and News.
We’re seeking a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of the news cycle and a proven ability to write engaging content for on-air broadcasts. The ideal candidate will also drive marketing strategies that showcase WJZ’s energy, credibility, and deep connection to the community. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in growing and engaging our audience by producing compelling content across multiple platforms
WJZ is a fast-paced, people-first newsroom, so we’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, smart editorial instincts, understanding of standards and practices and a team-first mindset—someone who thrives on collaboration, brings fresh ideas to the table and can jump in wherever they’re needed to help tell the story.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work collaboratively with Creative Services and News to market brand and content in linear, digital and social platforms.
• Write stories for newscasts and teases, create graphics, build and booth live shows.
• Design and produce promotional assets using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Manage multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high production standards.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 years of experience as a writer/producer/editor.
• Adept conversational writing skills, enabling you to build engaging and relatable news content.
• Knowledge of iNews rundown systems and Grass Valley Stratus, and Edius editing solutions preferred.
• Proven proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of brand marketing and audience development.
• Familiarity with graphic design fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards in every aspect of news production.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Skilled photojournalist and creative coach to lead our team of photographers at Minnesota’s Most Watched station.
- Be the expert on visually appealing and meaningful shooting as well as dynamic audio and lighting.
- Work with managers, assignment desk, producers and reporters to successfully enterprise stories as well as cover weather, breaking and general news across our TV and digital platforms.
- Set the bar for outstanding visual, expressive storytelling and dynamic live shots — train and mentor the photographers and MMJ’s who fall short on goals.
- Offer nonstop feedback to photographers and editors; including one-on-one story critiques.
- Assist in logistics and planning for remote events and stations events.
- Uphold journalistic, ethical and professional standards consistent with company policies & values.
- Manage scheduling and time sheets for the photographers/editors.
- Collaborate with the News Operations Manager on equipment purchases, fleet management and repairs.
- Run and maintain live equipment (microwave, satellite trucks and Dejero/Live-U backpacks).
- Other duties as assigned by the News Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Operating proficiency of Sony XDCAM, Panasonic P-2 or similar ENG Systems as well as drones, non-linear editing on FCP X, Avid or a similar system,
- Must be physically able to carry, shoulder and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more),as well as carry support equipment (i.e., tripod, lights, etc.).Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and thrive under pressure, attacking deadlines and decisions calmly & swiftly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse staff
- Available to work any shift required in a 24/7 newsroom including weekends & evenings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field
- 5+ years in a medium or large market
