Audition for “Pudgie’s Roadhouse”

Job Description: We are casting for “Pudgie’s Roadhouse,” an innovative and interactive karaoke jukebox musical set in an iconic biker bar. This project will bring to life the story of Madge “Pudgie” Pudowski and her quest to save her family’s business by transforming it into a karaoke bar. The show will feature songs chosen by the audience, creating a unique and dynamic experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform in an interactive theatrical performance, engaging with the audience through karaoke-style singing and acting.
• Collaborate with fellow cast members in improvisational and musical segments.
• Participate in workshops and rehearsals to develop and refine the show.
• Contribute to the overall storyline, adding depth and authenticity to the characters.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for both cast members and audience participants.

Requirements:

• Actors should be experienced in musical theatre, improv, and interactive performances.
• Must be comfortable singing in a karaoke-style format, with the ability to perform a wide range of musical genres.
• Ability to engage and interact with the audience dynamically and energetically.
• Must be available for workshops and rehearsals in September.
• Strong stage presence and the ability to portray diverse characters.

Preparation for Audition:

• Prepare to sing one of the following songs in a karaoke-style: “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” by Elton John, “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac, “Believe” by Cher, or “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift.
• Actors should dress in attire that reflects their character for the audition.
