Ava DuVernay‘s CBS TV pilot Red Line to film in Chicago, Illinois.
4 Star Casting, the extras casting company behind Empire, announced they will be the extras casting company for the new TV pilot as it films in Chicago, Illinois.
“Hear Ye Hear Ye. We got a pilot. REDLINE, the pilot, written by Chicago’s own Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss, and executive produced by Ava DuVernay,” the casting company wrote on Facebook.
Red Line is written by Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss, “explores what happens after a white cop in Chicago mistakenly shoots and kills a black doctor.” It will follow “three different families that all have connections with the case as the story is told from each perspective.”
Ava DuVernay is not a force to be messed with in Hollywood. DuVernay’s $100 million directorial movie A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters on March 9. The film stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and young newcomer Storm Reid.
